Multi-Award winning author, Jan Sikes, began her writing journey around the age of eight.

Primarily, the stories she writes are true stories about the journey of two people moving through adversity in order to grow and learn to become better humans. She believes with all her heart, there is something worth sharing in these stories. Bits and pieces of wisdom, hard-learned lessons and above and beyond all, love…True love that you read about in fiction stories…and yet this is truth. The old saying, truth is stranger than fiction fits these stories.

Flowers and Stone
is the first book in this series. It is a passionate love story with a twist, set in the rowdy raucous honkytonks of Texas in 1970.

The Convict and the Rose
continues the story and is set behind the walls of Leavenworth Penitentiary. It tells a tale about learning to think and do positive in a negative situation that inspires hope for making a better life regardless of the circumstances.

Home At Last
is the third segment of the series and is set in Central West Texas. It is a story of starting over, struggles, triumphs and most of all of a love that never falters.

‘Til Death Do Us Part
ends the series. With sand in the hourglass growing thin, Luke and Darlina Stone face trials that would destroy a lesser man and woman. Time slows down to a crawl, life is measured in breaths and each breath comes with a price.

Jan also releases a music CD of original songs with each book that fits the time period of the story. Why? Because the stories revolve and evolve around a deep-rooted passion for music

She currently resides in North Texas, has five grandchildren and in her spare time, loves to volunteer at Texas music festivals. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Musicians Museum and The North Texas Book Festival. She is a member of the Texas Writer’s League, Independent Author’s Network, Authors Den, Goodreads, Rave Reviews Book Club, Authorsdb, National Association of Professional Women and the International Women’s Leadership Association.
